NEW YAESU VX-8R HT OFFERS APRS + MORE

Check out the features of the new Yaesu VX-8R HT, including APRS suppport, and due out this summer. Finally, some competition to the Kenwood D7A(G). Hopefully they will adapt APRS support to the FTM-10SR mobile radio I use on my motorcycle. http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/ht/0008.html

Very nice! I wonder how much it will cost?

Nice, after the programming software and cables and shipping and tax and license and overhead and all, what would you say about a thousand dollars? This site is a really good idea since I can't seem to post on the NWAPRS mail reflector, something about my message is too big. More later, 73 ._._. p.s. Hi Bill, Hi Herb, Hi Kim et all.

Has a nice feel to the radio it's about the size of a pack of cigarettes (slightly wider). The buttons have a nice tactile click to them and they aren't too close together. So those of us with fat fingers don't poke two at the same time.

Looks like about $600 fully loaded. Nice deal all the way around.
